The South Padre Island City Council on Wednesday approved the scope of work and $25 million price tag for its plan to renovate and expand the Convention Centre.
Of that total projected cost, nearly $11 million would go toward renovations, including: exhibit hall ($3.38 million); meeting rooms ($2.01 million); lobby circulation ($1.89 million); storage ($1.06 million); support services ($733,600); restrooms ($710,500); kitchen ($528,000); and administration ($472,500).
