With the room filled to capacity and overflowing into the hallway, and increased security with at least four police officers on guard both inside and in the parking lot, the atmosphere at Tuesday’s Point Isabel Independent School District (PISD) Board meeting was tense with many parents of local students, their supporters, teachers and administrators in attendance, anxiously awaiting the announcement of decisions regarding grievances that have been brought against the District about punishment that their children received at the hands of the district.
