Route altered for annual PI Boat Parade

By ESTEVAN MEDRANO

Update: The story read that the Lighted Boat Parade takes place on Nov. 6. The parade is actually on Dec. 6. The Press regrets the error.

For 27 years the Annual Lighted Boat Parade, hosted by the Port Isabel Chamber of Commerce, has treated the community with a public spectacle only the shores of the Laguna Madre can to offer. The traditional coast pageant will continue at 6 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 6 with a slight routine change from years past due to silting issues reducing water depth in the Port Isabel Channel.
