Plans are currently in the making for this year’s Laguna Vista Live-Music by the Bay community outdoor concert from 5-9 p.m.
Scheduled for March 7 at Roloff Park in Laguna Vista, headliner for the evening of live music is Hector Guzman and the Allnighters. Roloff Park fronts the Laguna Madre Bay and provides a scenic setting for the outdoor event. Guzman and his band features danceable rock, Spanish, country and jazz music.
Additional groups wishing to participate are invited to contact City Manager Rolando Vela at 943-1793 or at firstname.lastname@example.org. “We are inviting local school groups and community organizations that are interested in participating during this music event,” he said.
To create a festival atmosphere, food and arts and crafts vendors welcome to participate, according Pto Vela. Clubs, organizations and businesses can have booths to sell their products. “We are seeking vendors interested in setting up a booth to join us,” he said, adding some rules and regulations apply for the health and safety of the community.
Food vendors will need to secure a health permit from the County office in San Benito. ” The temporary health permit fee is $25. However, if you are a non-profit organization, the County will waive this fee. The Town of Laguna Vista does not issue health permits,” the city manager said.
Vendors can provide their own setup, and the booth rental fee will be waived. However, the Town will facilitate booth rentals, if a vendor so desires, and pass-on the fee to the vendor. Booth spaces measure 10 x 10-feet.
Free to the public, the community is invited to attend this family-oriented, growing event. Those attending are encouraged to bring their folding chairs or blankets to enjoy the outdoor event.
