A fourth body was found on South Padre Island in a week.

At about 5:23 p.m., a 74-year-old man was found unresponsive in the dunes approximately one mile north of Beach Access 5, according to a statement released by the Cameron County Park Rangers. Justice of the Peace Bennie Ochoa pronounced the man dead at 6:48 p.m. Foul play is not suspected, but an autopsy has been ordered, according to the statement. South Padre Island Police are also assisting in the investigation.

Also Friday, a 27-year-old man fell from a second floor balcony at La Copa Inn. He was transported to Valley Baptist Hospital. His name was not released, and he was expected to be discharged from the hospital.

Earlier in the week, the decapitated body of Franklin Rodriguez Palacios Paz was discovered in the bay near the Convention Centre. A Los Fresnos woman in town for Spring Break fell to her death from a seven story balcony at the Padre South Hotel Wednesday, and the body of a Katy man was discovered in a private condominium last Saturday. Their deaths are still under investigation.
