Letter to the Editor

Special to the PRESS

Dear Editor,
We want to share with our community the following news in relation to three different companies trying to establish business in The Lower Laguna Madre Area with the purpose of building terminals to process Liquefied Natural Gas, mainly for export purposes.
Many of our associates and friends have been following the impact to our community in relation to the environment.
Many of these concerned citizens realize the importance of job creation, and welcome businesses to our community as long as they do not adversely affect the health of our residents and the environment.
We want all of the residents to ask the following questions. How will LNG Plants affect PI and SPI?
Will these plants affect Ecotourism and human health?
Please study and follow the meetings on the subject in our area. We have a presentation on Monday, April 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center.
It is best to be well informed and with the right information, we can determine what is best for this community.
