Ebony Lane will undergo major road and sewer line improvements in a project scheduled in Laguna Vista this summer.
Requests for bids for the project have been published with a May 7 deadline set for contractors. Bid award is scheduled at the May 12 Laguna Vista Town Council meeting, according to City Manager Rolando Vela.
“We anticipate construction commencing at the end of May,” he said. Construction will include all of Ebony Lane, from Hibiscus to FM 510.
The project will include 1,250 linear feet of existing street and is expected to cost in excess of $200,000. The project will be funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program which is administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
A pre-bid conference is scheduled for April 22 at the Laguna Vista City Hall.
