Here Puppy, Puppy
On Sunday July 5 at approximately 10:59 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the bus barn in reference to two dogs. Upon arrival contact was made with a man who stated two dogs had gone into the bus barn. Shortly after, animal control arrived and attempted to take custody of the dogs, but they took off running before he could. The area was checked, but animal control was unable to locate the animals. The officer gathered the information for a report and resumed patrol.
On Sunday, July 5 at approximately 1:50 a.m., a woman from Beacon Bay Apartments complained that she had her sugar high. E.M.S. arrived and transported the woman to Valley Regional Hospital in Brownsville.
Lost and Found
On July 6 at approximately 9:13 a.m., an officer was dispatched to 110 W. Hickman St. in reference to a lost article. Upon the officer’s arrival, he made contact with an elderly woman who advised the officer that she had lost an identification card sometime in June but had not reported it. The woman only wished to report the incident in case the item was found. The officer gathered all information for his report and resumed patrol.
My Trash Is My Treasure
On July 6 at approximately 9:53 a.m., an officer was dispatched to 110 W. Hickman in reference to a theft. Upon arrival the officer made contact with a man who said he had his trash can stolen from his residence at 1398 Harbor Island Drive. The man said he had last seen it on Tuesday before he had left out of town. After further investigation the man said he would just like to file a report for a replacement. The officer gathered his information for the report and resumed patrol.
Well … Facebook Said So
On July 6 at approximately 2:40 p.m., an officer was dispatched to 110 W. Hickman in reference to a miscellaneous incident. Upon arrival the officer made contact with a woman who stated, she had noticed concerning messages about human trafficking on a Facebook group. After further investigation screen shot photos were taken of the main posts and forwarded to CID for further investigation. The officer gathered information for a report and resumed patrol.
I Said, “I’m Fine MOM!”
On July 7 at approximately 3:38 p.m. an officer was dispatched to 406 Houston St. Apt. No. 2 in reference to a welfare concern about a woman staying at the location. Upon the officer’s arrival he made contact with a man who advised him that the woman in question was at the pool area. The officer made contact the woman and she spoke with her family via cell phone and assured them of her wellbeing. The officer then gathered information for his report and resumed patrol.
Plenty of Fish in the Sea
On July 7 at approximately 11:39 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Pirate’s Landing fishing pier located at 501 E. Maxan St. in reference to an EMS call. Upon arrival the officer made contact with a woman who stated that she and her family were at the pier fishing. She stated that her son was setting to cast off and accidentally hooked his little brother on the eye. The officer proceeded to make contact with the father of the little boy who was advising him to keep his eyes closed. The little boy was cooperating with the instructions given by his father and was calm. After a few moments Port Isabel EMS arrived on location and placed the little boy in the ambulance. The officer proceeded to go back and make contact with the mother and the other brother who caused the accident. The little boy was transported to the hospital and was accompanied by his father. The officer gathered information for a report and resumed patrol.
