The national observance of “40 Days for Life” is underway throughout the Rio Grande Valley through Nov. 1.

In the observance, pro-life advocates from Catholic parishes from Starr through Cameron Counties gather daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to pray outside the Whole Women’s Health Clinic in McAllen. Participants will pray for an end to abortion and a greater love for all life, pre-born until natural death. Prospective volunteers are asked to contact Patricia de la Tejera at (956)227-5105 or via email patdelatejera@yahoo.com, according to the Diocese of Brownsville.
