CCRMA to issue warrants for unpaid tolls

Special to the PRESS

In late September, the Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority (CCRMA) put a plan in place to collect unpaid toll violations. Violators were selected and sent “last chance” letters to make payment arrangements before getting prosecuted in court. Since then, a number of customers have made those payment arrangements and avoided prosecution in court. Some cases remain open and warrants will be issued out for their arrests for failing to appear in court.

The CCRMA has ensured that various resources be readily available for all customers to avoid late fees and possible court prosecution. The CCRMA continues its efforts to collect unpaid toll bills and has recently sent another batch of “last chance” letters to toll violators.

For those who would like to search for unpaid toll bills, it is encouraged that you visit the CCRMA’s official website, www.ccrma.org/tollbill. If you have unpaid bills and would like to make payment arrangements, please visit the CCRMA’s local office on 3461 Carmen Avenue, Rancho Viejo, Texas. Customers can also call 956-621-5571 for any questions or concerns.
