Fifth arrest in tax office sting

Another person has been arrested in connection with the January sting operation that led to Cameron County Tax Assessor-Collector Tony Yzaguirre being charged with several counts of bribery and engaging in organized criminal activity.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) arrested Claudia Elisa Sanchez last Wednesday afternoon at the San Benito Tax Office. She has been charged with tampering with government records.
