Rio Hondo Bobcats were on the hunt to regain their pride after losing their first game with the Tarpons in March, 2-0.
Monday evening, Tarpon pride took the field as the Port Isabel won the district game 10-0.
The Tarpon’s 10 run assault began early in the first inning. Leadoff batter, Jonathan Garza hit a single, then stole second base and scored on Trey Mock’s single. The Tarpons’ power ignited as they continued to blast the Bobcat pitchers with a game total of 13 base hits.
Antonio Garza took care of business striking out eight Bobcats and holding them to only one hit during his six inning shutout.
