A 16-page proposed lease agreement, with a survey that provides meets and bounds of the 2.7 acre tract where the Town of Laguna Vista’s marina is located, is in the hands of members of the Laguna Vista Recreation Association Inc.
The Town Council recently issued the new lease agreement which would replace a one page lease agreement executed in 1971 that extends until 2021.
The detailed document will be considered at a general membership meeting of the LVRA in June at the Town’s fire station, according to Ryan Maza, president of the association. “I emailed it to the members and asked them to bring their thoughts and ideas,” he said. A date has not yet been set, he said.
The proposed 25-year lease would require the association pay the Town $100 per month rent, construct a fence around the marina, pay for installation and fees for utilities including gas, electric, water, sewer and telephone.
