Young snare line gear up for season

The snare line for this year’s edition of the Silver Tarpon Marching Band is rather young.  Of the four snare drummers who showed up for the first day of practice this past Monday, only one will be starting the school year as anything above freshman.

Jaden Lopez and Mia Mata are freshmen and Hector Martinez is an eighth grader.  The sole upper-classman is junior Kaelyn Espinosa.

Kaelyn Espinosa is the most experienced member of the snare section.  She first appeared with the Silver Tarpon band as an eighth grader playing vibraphone.
