Hot on the heels of the Best Landscape and Best Halloween Decorating Contests, the City of Port Isabel’s Beautification Committee ran a Christmas Contest as well for both residents and businesses. While many properties were decorated for the holidays, only the contestants who registered with the City were judged.
The winner of the Residential Christmas Decoration Contest was the Traya family at 101 W. Hickman Avenue. Their landscape was immaculately maintained and there were lights tastefully placed throughout. There were many decorations all around the property and even an animatronic Santa on the front porch.
The winner of the Commercial Christmas Decoration Contest was Canvas Creations at 606 S. Garcia Street. They featured a lighted nativity scene in one window and lights inside and out.
