Police Blotter

PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On Feb. 15, 2023, at approximately 02:13 hours, officers responded to the Peninsula Condominiums, located at 340 Padre Boulevard, in reference to a welfare concern. After investigation, one male and one female were placed under arrest for Public Intoxication.
ASSAULT CLASS C: On March 5, 2023, at approximately 09:31 hours, officers were dispatched to The Inn, located at 1709 Padre Boulevard, in reference to harassment. Officers made contact with a male subject who had slapped a female subject’s butt and the contact was unwanted. The male subject was placed under arrest for assault and was transported to the South Padre Island City Jail, where he was booked in.
3005 CRIMINAL TRESPASS (HABITATION): Contact was made with a complainant at a short-term rental house 126 East Saturn Street in reference to a criminal trespass of a habitation. Investigation revealed that four subjects located inside the residence entered and remained on the property (a habitation) of another without effective consent and had notice that the entry was forbidden. The four subjects were placed under arrest and charged with criminal trespass of a habitation, before being transported to and booked into the city jail.
4902 PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On March 05, 2023, at approximately 18:53 hours, officers responded to 127 East Retama Street in reference to a possible physical disturbance. Upon arriving, officers made contact with a female subject. That female subject was in a public place while intoxicated to the degree that she was a danger to herself or others. She was placed under arrest and charged with public intoxication.
SIMPLE ASSAULT 22.01: On March 6, 2023, at approximately 19:05 hours, officers responded to the police lobby in reference to a harassment. Investigation revealed that a male worker made unwanted contact with a female coworker.
UNAUTHORIZED USE MOTOR VEHICLE: On March 07, 2023, at approximately 10:15 hours, officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Padre Boulevard in reference to the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the reporting party who stated his vehicle was not returned after lending it to a friend. The reporting party stated he wanted to file charges and a report was filed.
DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED/PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at approximately 19:26 hours, police officers conducted a traffic stop at the 1100 block of Padre Boulevard, subsequently placing the operator of the vehicle under arrest for driving while intoxicated. The front passenger was placed under arrest for public intoxication. Both males were transported to the city jail, where they were booked in accordingly.
2201 SIMPLE ASSAULT: On March 8, 2023, at approximately 21:53 hours, officers responded to Casa Bella in reference to an assault. A male subject threw an unknown object to another, striking him in the chest.
ASSAULT/PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On March 10, 2023, at approximately 02:01 hours, officers observed a physical disturbance in the parking lot on the 100 block of West Pike Street. The subjects, one female and two males, were placed under arrest for public intoxication. One of the male subjects was also charged with assault class C misdemeanor. The female subject was also charged with assault class C misdemeanor. All the subjects were transported to the city jail and processed accordingly.
