The Art Lounge, owned by artist Shelly Hamsa, is preparing to celebrate its first anniversary on South Padre Island. The Art Lounge is just steps from the Gulf of Mexico in the Sea Ranch Marina building, making it a prime location for those visiting the island.
Those who visit The Art Lounge can see the works of several different artists, such as a silversmith who creates custom jewelry, a wood turner, an impasto painter, a paper collage artist and a linocut printer.
On Saturday, April 8, from 3 to 5:30 p.m., the gallery will feature “Bloom Art Exhibition: Opening Reception,” where it will be transformed into a garden party where those in attendance can bring out their best high tea attire.
