For those of you locals and tourists that have never stepped foot into the Lighthouse Boutique Hotel, I must say you are certainly missing out! For starters, it is not only a luxurious hotel, but also a cafe, gift shop and an event venue. The establishment also will be offering art classes from the brilliant artist Marcella Montalvo.
Montalvo is as beautiful as her artwork adorning the walls. She is also the sister of Anna Martha, who owns the hotel alongside her husband Gustavo. Together, they have created a masterpiece when it come to an elegant hotel and sparkling clean refuge from the heat. They serve wonderful Italian ice cream and yummy pastries and desserts. Pretty soon they will be offering delectable lunch items, wine and cheese boards, and beer. For quite some time, we have felt like we were starving in Port Isabel with the loss of Marcello’s restaurant and only a handful of beach bar food places. Look no further because here comes one of the best place to eat on the main street! Delectable dishes came in the latter part of June, thanks to Martha and the chef from Venezuela. The proprietors are so excited to be working with her to make their cafe phenomenal.
Some of the dishes to come will be items such as bagels, salmon and capers, hot fresh bread, a butter lemon cake with fresh berries, Greek yogurt with fruit and granola, Tomato Basil soup, and a salad with peaches, mixed greens, feta and a champagne vinegar dressing. Wash everything down with a glass of wine, a mimosa or a hot coffee drink. You can also look forward to wine night and gourmet pizza. Don’t forget to try the sparkling seltzer fruit drinks.
