South Padre Island is set to honor its veterans with a special Veterans Day concert on the beach at Clayton’s, located at 6900 Padre Blvd. The concert will begin at 6 p.m. and is open to the public, providing an excellent opportunity for the community to show their respect and gratitude to those who have served.
In addition to the beachside concert, the Town of Laguna Vista is sponsoring a Veterans Day Ceremony at Veteran’s Park. The ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. and is open to the public. This event offers an excellent way for the community to come together and recognize the sacrifices made by our veterans.
For those looking to enjoy a parade, the American Legion Post 498 will host a Veterans Day Parade starting at 9 a.m. The parade will begin at the American Legion, proceed to Highway 100, South Shore, and return to the American Legion. After the parade, a ceremony will take place at Veterans Park starting at 10:30 a.m.
The American Legion is also providing food at their location after the ceremony, where all are welcome.
Decorated golf carts will be a part of the parade, and the public is encouraged to attend this event as well.
This is an excellent opportunity for the community to participate in the American Legion Family and show support for veterans. All proceeds from the event will go toward helping veterans, veteran organizations, veteran families, and various youth organizations.
The American Legion Post 498 is located at 819 S. Garcia St., Port Isabel. This event is a meaningful way to express gratitude and respect for the brave men and women who have served our country.
