Super Bowl LVII Sunday is upon us this weekend and there are so many choices to go out and view the game. Here is a list broken down by city, their food and drink specials, and amenities for those last-minute patrons looking for a venue to enjoy the game.
Locations range from sports bars to fine dining. Whatever your taste and atmosphere lead you, there are many venues to choose and celebrate. Get together with your buddies and go out on the town and watch the event of the season. Wherever you wind up, enjoy!
Laguna Vista:
Bay B Boomers Bar & Grill—Starting at 3 p.m., small 1-topping pizza & 10 wing combo $25 or fresh guacamole $6; Yuengling pint drafts, Fireball shots or well Mind Erasers only $3 each. Seven TVs including three widescreens.
Divots—Starting at 3 p.m., Brisket plate $14.99, Ahi Tuna steak $16.99, Coconut Shrimp $18.99, domestic beers $3.50/can, Eight TVs and a projector screen.
Port Isabel:
Doubledays—10 wings $8.99, 20 wings $12.99, $2.50 domestic drafts, about 18 TVs, and will have complimentary hotdogs, nachos, pasta salad, sweet treats, fruit and cheese trays.
Hopper Haus – $1 wings, $8 nachos, $11 Schnitzel plate, Bloody Mary $5, five TVs, up to 45”. May have amenities outside depending on weather.
J & Bubba’s – complimentary finger foods and various beer drink specials. Three TVs, up to 60”.
Rio Grande Distillery & Brewery – offering specials for a peaceful non-Super Bowl alternative of 3-topping pizzas for $10 and regular drinks for $5.
Shark Tank – 75 cent wings, domestic draft beer $2.75, two large-screen TVs up to 56”.
White Sands – Starting at 3 p.m., 50 cent wings, nacho and happy hour drink specials, Six widescreen TVs.
South Padre Island:
Bar Louie at Marriott – Appetizer specials 3 for $30, one widescreen and other TVs around the bar.
Coral Reef – “Super Bowl Tailgate Party” from 2-5pm. Pre-Game and Game sound will be on all five TV’s (one widescreen). Plenty of seating. Food includes complimentary popcorn, appetizers and Colleen’s specialty Yankee Chili with cornbread. Patrons are welcome to bring an appetizer to share! Drink specials: $2 Lone Star draft pints, $2.25 Busch Light, $4 Fireballs, $5 Jager, $5.50 Margaritas or a $6 Bloody Mary!
D Pizza Joint offers their usual specials and sport three TVs for your viewing pleasure.
Jake’s Restaurant & Bar: Seven TV’s, running happy hour all day and 25% off all appetizers.
Kelly’s Irish Pub – CLOSED at 4 p.m. for a private party to reopen to the public after the game is over.
The Kraken – was working on food and drink specials at press time but has 4 separate bars, with a 5th section possibly open by Sunday, and boasts more than 70 TV’s, with the largest 33 feet wide by 16 feet tall!
Laguna Bob’s – five widescreen TV’s and plenty of seating with a spectacular view!
Longboard Bar & Grill – will post food or drink specials on Facebook page, but sport plenty of seating, spectacular views and 13 TVs, with one 30 feet wide outside by the water.
Louie’s Backyard – Plenty of seating and views, with 5 large TVs.
Landshark Bar & Grill at Margaritaville Beach Resort – 75 cent wings, some half price appetizers, all day Happy Hour of $3.50 Margaritas and Pina Coladas, some $4 20-oz. Drafts, well shots $4, and TVs on every wall!
Meatballs – has their regular happy hour specials from 11-4 and great views of three TVs including two widescreens.
Tom & Jerry’s – has televisions, up to 72”, all over for best views of the game.
Skully’s – will have food and drink specials and the game on seven TVs up to 80” for great views of the game.
Upper Deck Hotel & Bar – Complimentary appetizers and some fun giveaways. Raffles and Happy hour prices of $3 well drinks and domestics ‘til end of game. Live music on the deck 1-4 p.m. and after the game, if time allows. Superbowl on eight screens inside two different bars including a big screen and TV outside. May have a projector and screen outside.
