Reel in the fun with Laguna Madre native Judge Ochoa! Judge Benito “Bo” Ochoa IV, Justice of the Peace Cameron County Precinct 1, invites the community to join his 3rd Annual “Fishing with Judge Ochoa” event for 2024! This community event is set to take place Saturday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Port Isabel Fishing Pier. Families are encouraged to arrive early.
The event is free and fun. Don’t miss out on a day of angling excitement and community involvement. Pick up your own free fishing pole- first come, first served to the first 250 kids who attend! Cast off into a memorable day together! There will be door prizes, giveaways and refreshments.
The idea behind the event is to get kids fishing, according to Ochoa. His motivation is to inspire children to be more active. The goal of the event is to introduce kids to the sport and joy of fishing, according to the press release.
