The Cambio of yesterday says the report published in this paper, that a man had been pining hanging to a tree is entirely without foundation. This notice originated in this paper. Mr. George. Bartholomael, of the large and well known Baltimore Tobacco Manufacturing, of Gail & Ax, arrived here on the steamer and has been placing their admirable brand of little Joker Tobacco prominently before the public. This tobacco had a large sale here before, but Mr. Bartholomael, has put a package of it in every man’s hand, and has billed (put up posters and signs) streets, stores, water carts, posts, and fences. with the notices of the Little Joker. He is a stirring traveler and will work up a big trade here.

NAVY ASKS FOR ISABEL REPORT: Will Be Supplied By Lieutenant Commander Cunningham Of Navy Department At Once

The United States Navy, Department of Washington. Has instructed Lieutenant Commander A Period C. Cunningham of the Navy Department to submit at once a report on the defense of Point Isabel and Brazil Santiago Harbor.

Lieutenant Cunningham was stationed at Point Isabel several months in connection with the construction of the United States Naval Radio Station. There. Completing the work, he returned to Washington.

During his stay at Isabel, Lieutenant Cunningham became much interested In what is described as the peculiarly advantageous location of the harbor from a strategic standpoint and gathered a vast amount of data incident there.
