Popular Italian Grill and Pizzeria will open a new venue on South Padre Island. The South Padre Island Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting on Thursday, Oct. 17 to celebrate the opening.
Luis Diaz, General Manager at Gabriella’s, said the venue will add 100 seats to the restaurant. According to Diaz, expansion was necessary because the restaurant sees a lot of customers, especially during the summer months.
“We always had a two, two and a half wait during the summer. The [venue] kind of eliminated that,” said Diaz.
Additionally, the new venue will be able to accommodate large parties.
“We’ve been working with party planners on the Island to have rehearsal dinners, Christmas parties and banquets,” Diaz said.
According to Diaz, the venue will be a great asset to the restaurant and customers.
“They just need to come down and see it,” Diaz said.
The PRESS also contacted Beverley Eymard, Chamber of Commerce Member Service Representative. She said attendees can expect a warm welcome from the chamber themselves, along with a presentation, raffle and refreshments.
Gabriella’s is an Italian specialty restaurant with a variety of food options and a family-friendly atmosphere. They are open from 2-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 2-11 p.m. Friday through Saturday. The ribbon-cutting event will run from 5:30-7 p.m.
The event will be held in Gabriella’s at 700 Padre Boulevard.
