The Port Isabel Tarpons took to the road Tuesday night to try their mettle against the state-ranked Santa Rosa Warriors. Again the Tarpons were undermanned and Santa Rosa happily took full advantage, winning by the score of 85-45.
“We hung in there in the first half,” head coach Al Senteno said the next day. “I thought we handled the pressure pretty well. We were back and forth in the first quarter.” Port Isabel trailed by three points at the end of the first quarter and by 10 at the half.
