Two commissioners to again run unopposed

 By JOE R. BOWLING, JR.

The filing deadline came this week in the City of Port Isabel and for a second time two commissioners will run unopposed.

Martin Cantu and Memo Torres have held the position of commissioner for this past term and each will remain in that position once again.

“I think this is a reflection that they are doing a great job,” said City Manager Ed Meza. “In some cases you find cities having multiple people running for office, but here the people see they are doing a great job, and there is no reason to oppose.”
