On Saturday May 27 over 10 children and their parents came together at KOA Campground on South Padre Island to participate in a Fishing’s Future Kids Fish Camp.

Fishing’s Future is a 501-c3 corporation whose mission is to reconnect kids and nature, strengthen family relationships, build stewardship of the environment and provide primary outdoor experiences for children age 6 to 13.

The first Kids Fish Camp happened in 2004 as an event to help get kids and parent together outdoors.

In 2007 the company was granted it’s non-profit status, since then Fishing’s Future has grown to several chapters in Texas, Colorado and Flordia and is getting national recognition.
