PI city logoWhat is peanut butter without jelly, or the sky without the sun? Much like these things, where would Port Isabel be without docks?

The city has been granted the funds to not only improve but add new facilities onto the Pompano Park Public Boat Ramp.

According to the city, “The Pompano Park Boat Ramp is one of few public boat launching facilities available in the Laguna Madre area. And it is operated by the City of Port Isabel.”

Among the renovations are improvements to the boat launching and parking area, bulkheads, restrooms, utilities and the instalation of solar lights. In addition to the renovations, the city contracted the construction of a new fish cleaning station, courtesy dock and transient docks.
