Special to the PRESS
The Port Isabel Tarpon varsity basketball squad started Friday night’s game on a 25-8 advantage and never looked back as they went on to defeat PSJA Southwest in convincing fashion, 79-37.
Dakkota Torres led all Tarpons with 15 points, seven rebounds, and five steals.
The Tarpons’ shooting got back on track as Zach Reeves hit three shots from three-point range. Esteven Montelongo also hit two, and Jimbo Garza added another.
