As spring break winds down, citizens will be gearing their attention to local school board and city elections.

The Point Isabel School Board has two seats up for vacancy this May, and according to Merced Cantu III, PI-ISD School Board President, “We have two seats up for election this year, and one is the Board Secretary, Ann Schroeder, who will resign this year.”

The other vacancy is Board Member Rene Valdez, who Cantu said, “Rene is unopposed, and so he will continue his position on the board.”
