Laguna Vista Councilmembers will have a busy Saturday as they convene here to resolve two pending issues facing this community. Included is a review of bids submitted for approval by contractors on improvements to Roloff Park, and interviews of candidates to serve as a new Town attorney, and a meet-and-greet by a visiting group of potential investors.
The Council will conduct an in-depth review of base bids and alternate proposals submitted by area contractors for reconstruction of Roloff Park. The session will be a joint workshop with the Parks and Recreation Board at 9 a.m. to review park bids.
The volume of 15 alternate proposals submitted by contractors constitutes the need for further study, Mayor Susie Houston said. Itemization of the alternate bids with a breakdown of actual components and costs will be reviewed prior to bid approval, she said.
