The Point Isabel ISD held its first closed/executive session meeting to: “consider and discuss applicants for the position of superintendent,” on Monday April 2 in the Central Administration Board Room located at 101 Port Rd.

“No action was taken” was announced as the board returned from executive session, and as Merced Cantu III, PI-ISD Board President, said, “This was a closed session, and we are obligated by law not to disclose information regarding our discussions at this time.”

Cantu was able to disclose the number of applications the board is reviewing, of which there are 21, and little details of their next meeting: “We are holding the next executive session on Thursday, April 5, 2012 to further discuss applicants, and to start the interview process.”
