“If there is an A&M man in 100 miles of you, you are expected to get together, eat a little, and live over the days you spent at Texas A&M.” That is the axiom behind the Annual Aggie Muster.

The Muster is recognized every year on April 21 in celebration of Texas’s victory over Mexico in the Battle of San Jacinto.

Sam Listi (c/o’64), SPI City Council Member, in partnership with Sherman Lee, (c/o ’65) has organized the Annual Laguna Madre Aggie Muster for eight years. “I’ve been doing this my entire life – well, since I graduated,” chuckled Listi as he included California, Houston, College Station, and now South Padre Island to his list of organized Aggie Musters throughout the years. “Harlingen holds an annual Aggie Muster, “ added Listi, “but we wanted one closer to home.”
