Tate named head of CVA board

The Convention and Visitors Advisory Board of South Padre Island met and selected last Wednesday a new chairperson and vice-chair.

Mike Bigelow resigned his position as chairperson and Lynne Tate accepted the board’s nomination to be his replacement. After, Bigelow accepted the role of vice-chair for CVA when Joy Hartung resigned her position on the board.

The rearranged CVA decided to dissolve the marketing sub-committee to rethink its goals and tasks. A committee review was added to May’s agenda.
