Constable nabs suspect

Wednesday, Cameron County Constables arrested a man who allegedly put a knife to his girlfriend’s throat.

Sgt. Richard Hernandez of Constable Precinct 1 said 20 year-old Javier “El Gordo” Garcia was charged with aggravated assault, a class 2 felony.

Hernandez said Garcia allegedly put a knife to the throat and neck region of his 20 year-old girlfriend with threats to her life at their residence in Laguna Heights.
