PRESS Staff Report
A summer of music is underway as the City of South Padre Island’s Parks and Recreation committee, in participation with area businesses, will host their Second Annual Red, Wine, and Blues concert on Friday, May 27 from 7-10 p.m. at the SPI Hilton Garden Inn-Beachside.
A true Texas blues legend, Bobby Mack, will be this year’s feature artist and shares his style with other North Texas guitar legends such as Denny Freeman, Derek O’Brien, and Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Mack helped define the Austin blues genre of the late 1970s and early 80s and has rocked the stage with legends such as Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, and Otis Rush. Mack will be sure to deliver a revved up guitar performance like no one else.
