Musical group Chuck and Leslie played to benefit the Stewart and Blackmon families, victims of a fire, at Padre Sunset on Monday.
Singer Leslie Blasing said the fire was on a property, owned by the Stewart family, which housed a 4,000 square foot building surrounded by cottages where the families live.
Two businesses were run out of the building, Blasing said. Allen Stewart ran a captain training school and Justin Blackmon ran a flag manufacturing company. She said neither of the companies would be covered by insurance.
