The mother of the formally missing Laguna Vista man, Juan Pina, provided her own take on the occurances leading to the disapearence of their son.

Pina’s parents contacted Laguna Vista police earlier this month to report their son as missing. The man’s mother, who prefered her name not be printed said they feared for their son’s saftey, adding that he is bipolar, and left home without his medicine. Pina’s parents did not know of his whereabouts.

Pina was later found to be living with his sister. Laguna Vista police Sgt. Julio Olguin said Pina left to go live with his sister after Pina and his parents had a “family quarrel.”
