The SPI Skimboarding Skim Jam was held Saturday at Wanna Wanna Beach.
Over 15 contestants competed for a grand prize in two divisions. Contestants were judged based on difficulty and skill in 15-minute heats.
Event coordinator Garrett Forthuber said he was glad so many people turned out to watch the skimboarders. Fifteen-year-old Forthuber said he took over coordinating duties because the usual coordinator was out of town.
