Special to the Parade
The Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce and the Weslaco Economic Development Corporation will be hosting a “Things to See and Do in Weslaco” mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, at the Weslaco Business Visitor and Event Center.
The mixer is free and open to the public and will showcase various nature and historical sites in Weslaco. Estero Llano Grande State Park, Frontera Audubon, Valley Nature Center and the Weslaco Museum will have interactive booths for the public to enjoy. The event’s special guests include Ruth Hoyt, John Pickles and Alan Murphy, distinguished nature photographers whose work is featured inside the Visitor Center lobby.
The event will also feature live music from the Weslaco High School jazz band. Refreshments will be served. The Business Visitor and Event Center is located at 275 S. Kansas. For more information about the Weslaco Chamber, visit www.weslaco.com.
