The Beach Bar Beat makes a stop at South Padre Island’s classic beach bar. Boomerang Billy’s is in the heart of the Island with an amazing view of the Gulf and their drinks are second to none.
Live music is provided by Leslie Blasing on the weekends and beach volleyball every day out of the week. This week’s bartender sheds some light on the beautiful sunny days at Boomerang Billy’s.

Specialty drink: The Rum Runner – everyone has got one; we do it different.
What is your favorite drinking holiday: Cinco de Mayo is coming up and that is always good.
Who is the most skilled bartender: The girls from Coyote Ugly.
What is the best part of working on a beach bar: The view of the water is amazing and relaxing.
What is your favorite day to work: Sunday, it has the most people and my friends have time to visit.
What is your favorite Boomerang Billy event: The Penguin Plunge, because that was my first day.
What have you learned from behind the bar: I think I have learned some patience.
What do you do when you are not bartending: This is going to sound lame, but I like to hang out here at Boomerangs.
