The Port Isabel Tarpons exploded out of the gate with touchdowns on their first four possessions against Brownsville Veterans Memorial last Saturday night, as they ran around, through, and right past the Chargers on their way to a 47-17 win at Sams Stadium.
It was head coach Monty Stumbaugh’s first season-opening win at Port Isabel in 13 tries.
