Special to the PRESS
The public is invited to join the City of South Padre Island and the City of Port Isabel at a special ceremony in remembrance of those that perished and in honor of those that survived the tragic collapse of the Queen Isabella Causeway in 2001. The ceremony will be held at 9 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 15 at the medians near the causeway entrance to South Padre Island.
