While not all of the Island’s summer sales tax revenues have been reported and released, early indications show that this past season brought in a considerable increase in collection totals when compared to recent years.
The following are figures taken directly from the City’s sales tax collection totals: April — $195,868; May — $232,585; June — $385,569; July $467,989. The totals for August have not been reported yet.
