Lloyd Algert Bowman

Lloyd Algert Bowman, 92, of Port Isabel, Texas Passed Away January 16, 2014 at Valley Baptist Medical Center, Harlingen, Texas.

Born March 4, 1921 Lloyd Bowman graduated from West Aurora, High School, Aurora, Illinois in 1938, and attended the University of Illinois.

Living in Kendall County, Illinois at the beginning of World War II, Lloyd bowman enlisted in the Army Air Corps, and became First Sgt. After WWII Kendall County put the names of Kendall County residents serving in WWII on a plaque on a wall inside the old Kendall County Courthouse, Yorkcille, Illinois, Lloyd was a member of Port Isabel, Texas American legion.

Lloyd A. Bowman married Doris Elaine Frazier in Aurora, Illinois October 20, 1945.

Both sons of Lloyd and Doris, Bruce F. Bowman and Barry V. Bowman graduated from Vanderbilt University. With Bruce F. Bowman graduating from Law School.

Lloyd A. Bowman was predeceased by his father, Victor Bowman, his mother Hattie Swanson Bowman, and his wife Doris Bowman, and his son Barry V. Bowman.

Lloyd Bowman is survived by his son Bruce F. Bowman.

Lloyd Bowman has a stone at West Side Cemetery, Geneva, Illinois.

Lloyd Bowman’s ashes were let go out to sea.
