When Bill, Susie and John Doan of B&S Kites sponsored the first SPI Kite Fest 14 years ago, they had no idea what they were starting — or even what they were doing.
Knowing that flying a kite was a fun and exciting activity, the event organizers said that they wanted visitors who came to the Island for the winter to experience that feeling, too.
