She never tired of being with the children whether as Director of the Children’s Choir at the Church or putting on Christmas programs for her choir at Derry. She received GREAT JOY from developing their music skills. She took great pride when she would see many of her former students in the TARPON BAND and school choirs. Her love of choral music led her to perform for many years with the SOUTH TEXAS CHORAL and most recently with the newly formed VALLEY VOICES CHORAL in the Laguna Madre area.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John P. Thobe and two daughters (1993 and 1987 graduates of Port Isabel High School.) and three grandchildren, Tammy Rae Elliott, Thobe Elliott, Madisyn Elliott, of Austin, Texas and Paulette Lynn Eide and Kelly Eide of Moorhead, Minnesota, older Brother Ken McCutcheon, San Miguel, Mexico and Sister Pat Townsend, of Lowell, Ohio.

My sympathy goes to John and their family, may you find comfort in knowing she is with her Savior. She was such a beautiful person inside and out.
