Murchison claims 2nd shot put gold

Port Isabel High’s Daniela Murchison won her second consecutive state Class 3-A shot put championship at the UIL State Track and Field Meet in Austin last week. Murchison also competed in discus and claimed the bronze medal for third place in that event. The event was held over two days, Friday and Saturday, at UT’s Mike Myers Stadium.
