After taking last week off, the Port Isabel Tarpons football team will travel to Progreso this Friday for the district opener for both teams.
Port Isabel comes in with a 5-0 record and Progreso is 1-4. The Red Ants have lost four straight games after a 7-0 win over Brownsville Porter in Week 1. Progreso also had an open date last week.
Progreso is scoring an average of nine points a game and has given up 38 points per contest in its four losses.
