Port Isabel City Hall hosted a public hearing this past Wednesday in regards a number of concerns from the public about the recently opened city Event and Cultural Center. The idea behind the center’s construction was so the citizens of Port Isabel would have the option to host personal events such as quinceañeras and weddings at a quality venue, balanced with events hosted by local businesses and charities. Those that have booked with the center have generally had very upbeat remarks about the venue, particularly for its aesthetic detail, but bookings have been sluggish early on.
