Town mulls July 4th fireworks

A July 4 fireworks extravaganza over the bay for the entertainment primarily of Laguna Vista residents and visitors was pitched by Pyro Shows at Tuesday’s Town Council meeting.
With cost proposals ranging from $10,000 to $30,000 for an estimated 15-20 minute show, the presentation could include music and shell explosion synchronization with patriotic tunes available online or by cell phones.

Jason Stanley with Pyro Shows told Council members that a customized presentation could be negotiated, and rates could be lower if the demonstration was conducted on dates other than the high-demand July 4.
